To our newest recruit,
Good on you for choosing Corus! Seriously, it's pretty much the best region. No joke. Let me give you the run down; Corus is pretty dry and hot, but it works out in our favour, since it toughens everyone up in no time at all! And "tough" is what Corus is all about- if you're a slacker, you might want to go and sign up in one of the sissy frilly froo froo regions, since Corus will eat you up and spit you out.
So let me tell you a bit about the different places in Corus! Firstly, the biggest place here is Arcelor. That's where I'm based, and where the majority of high profile battles are held.

And don't give me any sass about how the HQ is an abandoned steel works factory, 'cause I'll smack you. This place is fantastic! We converted the whole thing into a battle academy, so anyone who is serious about taking on the league should enrol here. We got dorms, it's cool. It has huge halls for battles, and the old refineries are great obstacle courses for training. Plus, uh, the track for the metal on the outside make great slides. You know, if you have little baby Pokémon or something. Yep. I mean, you won't find me up there or anything.
Moving on.
After Arcelor, the next biggest place is Severstal. Not much here in the way of battling, but they have a huge, and I mean HUGE marketplace; great for all your needs. Seriously, you can get anything from PokéBalls to furniture to accessories and more! Watch out for the bad part of town, though; gangs are rife there, and the black market there is huge.
The last place of any important here in Corus is Metinvest. Most of the year, this place is kinda sleepy and is only well-known for it's cultural heritage and traditional music, but every summer this place is host to the Coba Festival. It's in honour of our patron legendary, Cobalion, who is waaay better than all the other patron legendaries. Just saying. This festival is pretty boss; the week before, families and friends get together to make coloured powder. Each family is assigned a colour, and everyone gets a different shade to do. Then, everyone gathers in the main square, and throws the powder at each other! At the end of it, we look like we've been vomitted on by a rainbow, but it's a daft amount of fun. It's meant to symbolise connections, since you'll have powder from loads of families all over you! And after the powder-throwing comes the best part; the wrestling matches, which are exactly what they sound like.

There are a couple of tribes outside of these three places, but they aren't important. Nope. So let's move on.
Now I gotta tell you how best to fit in in Corus. You see how I dress, with this badass tunic? Yeah, this is battle garb. We wouldn't expect you to go around wearing this all the time, or our heat stroke rates would be through the roof. You'll start off with a plain battle tunic, one colour. Usually brown, black or silver. As you get better and prove your strength to me and everyone else, you'll earn your stripes. It's usually in the form of armour, which you can customise yourself. Your first rank will earn you your bracers. The next, your brass knuckles. After that, your shin guards, then pauldrons, and finally a chest plate. Get all of those and you'll practically be a celebrity here in Corus, maybe slightly less famous than me. Maybe.
So I think that's pretty much it. Let me just say thanks again for choosing the best region, and I hope to see you in the finals!

Ferrite Colliery,
---

Yeesh! Ferrite tends ta' ramble on, don't she?
*ahem*
Anywho, my name is Dalaigh, and I'm Ferrite's assistant. I'm not actually from here, like a lot of you reading this, but I'll tell ya, it's a real great place ta live if yer into metallurgy, metal/rock-working, construction, or fightin'! If you don't like workin' hard and fightin' hard, ya better get out of here before someone gives you the what-for.
You'll mostly see me doing stuff with events, as well as some preliminary-type battles. Don't get scared; Corus in't all work and no play. Our festivals are always top notch, thanks ta me! *wink*
If ya need anything, go ahead and give me a call. Unless ya got a really hilarious problem, I won't laugh atcha mutch!
Yours,

Dalaigh Hayes
