Just a smidgen over a week until the deadline to the competitive apps! Though note that this date is prone to extension, but to be safe, please plan to make it for this deadline. When this deadline is met, the competitive app folders will be closed and from then on, the only characters that can be made are NPCs! NPCs may be created throughout the tournament.

Round one will begin shortly after this deadline.

Which brings me to my other point: we're aware there are some members out there that have participated in OCTs before, but we've also noticed many where this is their first time. As all the admins are, or were, active members of PMDE, we also see many people who are also in that group--which is fine, but note this group is NOT like PMDE! We will not be lax here; if you fail to complete a round, you will be eliminated, no question. Not only that, but in some rounds you will also be competing with other members, and those with the better entry will be allowed to move on. Works cannot be half-assed, or incomplete! So be prepared, if you have a contestant--this is, indeed, a competition.

However, don't let that discourage you, especially if feel you aren't as comfortable with your art; we will be judging on effort and storytelling, remember. On those grounds, everyone has the capability of being equal.

Thanks for reading this, and good luck to all of you!

So if we're eliminated, does that mean we're banned from this group or what does that mean?

If you're eliminated you have the choice of making your trainer into an NPC character. If you do this you'll still be allowed to participate in the groups events, however you won't be able to compete for the prize at the end. So no, we don't ban you from the group if you're eliminated! You get to choose if you'd like to stick around or not in a way.

Ok Thanks! I'm just a little bit nervous because I've never been in a group like this.

from the FAQ:

My character was eliminated! Am I out of the group?

Goodness no! When a character is eliminated from the competition, they're still in the guild! There's a whole region to run, not to mention the capital and other places! Starting after round one, there'll be job postings up for every guild. These are optional, but they have rewards and incentives just like the tournament itself! Trainers may want to stick around, as the tournament's not the only thing happening in Saros...

Essentially your character can be converted to an NPC.

If you are unable to complete round one, unfortunately you can no longer be a part of the tournament. Sorry!
Though each round will be about a month long so perhaps you will be able to find time.

This is my first OCT so I'm pretty excited! But I need to nip my laziness in the bud if I want to progress in the tournament >:1
Thanks for posting this, though! It is a well needed wake up call and reminder!
